The X-10 IRON-CLEAR is an efficient and economical system for the reduction of dissolved iron
and manganese compounds from raw water supplies. The X-10 acts as an insoluble catalyst to
enhance the reaction between dissolved oxygen (D.O.) and the iron com pounds. In ground waters the dissolved iron is usually in the ferrous bicarbonate state due to the excess of free
carbon dioxide and is not filterable. The X-10 , acting as a catalyst between the oxygen and the
soluble iron compounds, enhances the oxidation reaction of Fe++ to Fe+++ and produces ferric
hydroxide which precipitates and may be easily filtered. The X-10 is an excellent filter which is
easily cleaned by backwashing to remove the precipitant.
The X-10 media is not consumed in the iron removal operation and therefore offers a tremendous economic advantage over many other
iron removal methods. Other advantages of The X-10 include; long material life with relatively low attrition loss, a wide temperature
performance range and extremely high removal efficiency. Negligible labor costs are involved because The X-10 does not require
chemicals for regeneration, only periodic backwashing is required. The X-10 may also be used for manganese reduction with the same
dependability as iron removal.
The key to thorough iron removal is utilizing the right filter media while oxidizing the water simultaneously. (Changing soluble compounds
to solids prior to filtration.) No other iron filter offers this amazing aerator. It will not restrict the flow of water and harm your expensive
well-pump as in-line aerators or micronizers can. At the same time it offers maximum oxygen saturation. And all of this at a fraction of the
cost of similar multiple tank air systems
The X10 Iron-Clear can filter out the most common iron complaints. Ferric Iron or Precipitated iron. That is the iron particles that are
noticeable when you draw water. Ferrous Iron: Dissolved Iron. Water that looks clear when you draw it but later it shows yellow or orange.
Manganese: usually found in combination with , but in lower concentrations than iron. Hydrogen Sulfide -a gas that gives off a "rotten
egg" smell in water. Hydrogen Sulfide -develops from decaying organic matter like sulfate reducing bacteria.
-This non-maintenance filter requires no chemicals, salt or cartridges.
-Requires no air injectors, micronizers, or venturis.
-Filters out and removes high concentrations of dissolved or precipitated iron.
REMEMBER: AN OLD TRICK Even the best grades of softeners can not remove high concentrations of iron on their own. When the iron
count is high, it is necessary to add an iron filter to your water treatment system to achieve the most satisfying water results. The honest
salesman is the one who will tell you if you need to install a softener and an iron filter right up front. The other guy will say you only need
a softener (suggesting that your being taken by the person who recommended it) just to make the sale. When you later complain that
iron is still present in your water (softeners do take out a little iron), he will scratch his head, tell you the water test fluctuated and sell you
the iron filter that you really needed all along.
The HYDROPHASE Iron Filter
A COMMON PROBLEM IN CITY OR MUNICIPAL WATER
(YOU ARE ON PUBLIC WELL WATER BUT NOT YOUR OWN PRIVATE,BACKYARD WELL)
YOU HAVE MUNICIPAL WATER WITH A SOFTENER AND STILL HAVE IRON IN YOUR WATER
FACT: MOST WATER TREATMENT COMPANIES WILL NOT ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE REGUALAR IRON FILTERS WILL NOT
CORRECT IT AND THAT'S ALL THEY CARRY.
This is the only filter we have encountered that filters iron from municipal well water!
HYDROPHASE
Sulfur Filtration Systems
Hydorgen Peroxide and Ozone Generators
The Seahorse H2S- series Hydrogen Peroxide injection system deals with the problem of sulfur water. Sulfur causes high odor that can permeate throughout a house. This is one of the best ways to eliminate this problem. The H2S produces one of the highest oxidation injections (the key to sulfur removal) there is. Don't mess around with inferior filters when it comes to sulfur.
